You Can Create A Marketing Automation Machine and Automate Sales!
Creating a Marketing Machine and automating your sales is like building any other system. The core determines if the thing will make it. Imagine a new computer with a 1984 core processor. It would be worse than it was then!
If the foundation of your house can’t take the weight, over time the house falls apart. Think about any system, there has to be something strong at the core. The mistake many small business owners make is thinking they are that core at the center. If you are, it is time to change your thinking.
Fix Your Customers Problems
In a past life, I am on version 4.2 beta about now, I spent nearly a million dollars building a business that I wanted. The problem was that the people in the area didn’t see my business as a solution to any problems they have. At the core of all business, is providing a solution to a problem your customers have. Even it they don’t know they have a problem.
If you want to build a burger restaurant, location will be a major player in your success. Location alone won’t make the business though. If you draw a circle around your house of about 5 miles, how many burger places are there? Which one do you go to? Why? What would it take to get you to change?
Knowing your customers, their problems and your solutions is the absolute core of your business automation system. Get that wrong and you are sunk. For instance, I know from experience there are three types of burger places. Ultra cheap, we see their commercials and know their signs. Next is the family owned local place, and finally there is the gourmet burger place disguised as an expensive beer bar.
All of these are great money makers when they are marketed right. At the bottom end the problem is feeding a family on a budget. At the high end, the customer wants “good food” and is comfortable with burgers. Get it right and you can charge fifty cents just for the ketchup! To get the customer to come back, you need an experience that fixes their problem. To get them interested though, you start with marketing.
If you buy an old drive through burger restaurant, and try to build a sit down high dollar burger place, your location won’t match the problem. Parking and seating problems will kill the business. You need enough parking or people living with walking distance to make a profit.
The Marketing Automation Engine Starts Here
Location is good, but people need to know about your business. Well written blogs for search engines can be the absolute core of any business. Press Releases, Social media can build on that very small and effective core. A good story about your half pound super stack burger is better than any one else’s can change the reach of your market.
The big light beer company spends millions telling the world it doesn’t use high fructose corn syrup in it’s light beer. For a small company, a well written blog post and a few dollars spent on social media marketing can have the same impact. The trick to online marketing for a small business is knowing where to reach your customers and what story to tell them.
In the Easy Guide To Online Marketing story selling and blogging are essential components. Being able to write in a way that your customers and the search engines will like and understand is a big help.
