As the days turned into weeks, Georgio’s frustration grew. Despite his best efforts and the expensive fishing pole he had invested in, his net remained empty. Each evening, he returned to the village with nothing to show for his toil. In stark contrast, the fisherman on The J Boat began to thrive. By purchasing a simple casting net, he transformed his modest catches into a reliable source of income.
The village watched as Georgio’s continued to brag about the big fish that is just one cast away as he borrowed more money for bait, ice and fuel.
Georgio’s determination was unwavering, yet his results were disheartening. Every morning, he set out with renewed hope, only to return empty-handed. The other fisherman, however, had found his stride, his net bringing in a bounty that grew with each passing day. The gap between their successes widened. Georgio’s family and friends were running out of patience and money to loan him.

One fateful morning, Georgio’s persistence seemed to pay off. As he felt a tremendous pull on his line, he shouted with joy, convinced he had finally caught the prize he sought. But as the struggle intensified, The Big Catch began to sink under the weight of his catch. While he lay there cold and lifeless in the water, a large vessel approached and rescued him. It was an old friend from long ago.
When they returned to port, Georgio pointed to the owner of ‘The J Boat‘, who was at the time buying a bigger boat. Georgio exclaimed, “Look what he did with all those little fish, imagine what I can do with a big fish!”. With that Georgio convinced his old friend to loan him more money so he could buy another boat and start again. Georgio bought The J Boat and renamed it “The Big Catch“.
